How we keep support safe

  1. We are registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission — you can view our provider record below.
  2. Clinical services are delivered by registered practitioners; allied health assistants work under therapist supervision.
  3. Every support worker completes NDIS baseline training and our 28-day onboarding pathway before supporting anyone.
  4. Workers complete participant-specific training before their first shift with a new person.
  5. Feedback and concerns can be shared with us at any time through our feedback page or by phone.

Specialised Support Training

External & advanced accredited modules.

When participants require more complex or specialised support, our workers complete additional accredited training to ensure they can safely and confidently meet those needs.

Early Detection of Deterioration in the Elderly (EDDIE)

Recognising and responding to early signs of health deterioration in older clients.

Asthma: Introduction to Management

Understanding asthma triggers, action plans, and appropriate support responses.

Precise Thick-N Instant Training

Safe preparation of modified-consistency fluids for participants with swallowing difficulties.

Introduction to IDDSI

International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative — supporting safe eating and drinking across all textures.

Food Handler Basics (NSW Food Authority)

Certified food handling knowledge for workers involved in meal preparation and support.

Client-Specific Training

Tailored for every individual.

For each new participant, we develop customised training modules specific to that person. Every worker supporting a participant is fully briefed, fully trained, and fully prepared before their first shift.

A dedicated Support Plan module built around each participant
Any additional training required to safely support the participant's unique needs
Clear guidance on behaviour support strategies and communication preferences
Participant routines, risk considerations, and preferences documented and shared

No worker arrives unprepared

Every support worker who enters a participant's home or joins their shift has completed the participant's specific training package before their first day. There are no surprises — for us or for the participant.

Safety built around the person

Participant-specific training covers health needs, communication, routines, risk management, and any specialist considerations — so support is safe, consistent, and genuinely person-centred from day one.

Refer with confidence

Your clients deserve support from people who are prepared.

If you're a Support Coordinator, LAC, Plan Manager, or family member looking for a provider who takes training, safety, and quality seriously — Yellowbird is ready. Let's raise the standard of support — together.
